BEGIN WEANING AT FOUR TO FIVE WEEKS OF AGE USING THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE AND RECIPES:

WEEK ONE:
Mix one part canned Natural Life Puppy Formula with two parts warm water to form a soft gruel.
WEEK TWO:
Begin decreasing amount of water in gruel, ending week two with straight canned Puppy Formula.
WEEK THREE:
Mix three parts canned Puppy Formula with one part dry Puppy Formula and three parts warm water. Let stand five minutes to soften, then feed.
WEEK FOUR:
Mix one part canned Puppy Formula with one part dry Puppy Formula, adding warm water to aid in mixing.
WEEK FIVE:
Mix one part canned Puppy Formula with three parts dry Puppy Formula, adding a very small amount of warm water to aid in mixing.

After week five of weaning, puppies may be fed a diet of dry Puppy Formula or dry Puppy Formula mixed with canned Puppy Formula. It is important to keep in mind that Puppy Formula should be fed until maturity in small to medium size breeds and until six months of age in large to giant size breeds.
